Recreation
In addition to trophy whitetail hunting, a number of recreational activities are available to guests at Deer Haven Acres. So if deer hunting doesn't appeal to you, or you're coming here to hunt and you'd like to bring guests, there are plenty of things to do!
Bird watching and wildlife viewing is at the top of the list of recreational activities at Deer Haven Acres. Our 280-acre wildlife preserve is home to many species of birds and game animals, including whitetail deer, turkey and other birds, and wildlife native to central Wisconsin. This wildlife doesn't get much human pressure, so you'll find that it's easy to observe these animals in their natural habitat.
A few hiking and biking trails wind through our preserve, providing guests with easy access to the beautiful Central Wisconsin scenery. But you can feel free to veer off the trail for a closer look at anything that catches your attention.
Bring your four-wheeler if you're in the mood for a little excitement. There are a few places designated for ATVs where you can ride them as wildly, or as calmly as you please.
If fishing sounds like fun, there's no shortage of bass, bluegill, crappie, and even catfish in our 2-acre fishing pond. If fresh fish sounds appetizing, we'll cook your catch up as dinner for you. And we've got plenty of fishing poles if you forget yours, or don't have one.
If you'd like to do a little shooting, we're more than happy to pull a few clay pigeons for you on our trap range. Or we'll turn a few pheasants loose, if you'd like to go after the real thing.
And finally, there's the lodge. There's no shortage of relaxing activities to be found inside. Click here for more information about our lodge.
There's no shortage of activities at Deer Haven Acres. We hope to see you here soon!
Best wishes,
