Directions to Deer Haven Acres Lodge.
Because the hunting grounds at Deer Haven Acres are privately owned and managed, Deer Haven hunters are exempt from normal state and federal game laws. This means that you don't need to have a license. You can can hunt our trophy whitetail bucks any time after September until the bucks drop their horns in the spring of the year. The genetics that produce bucks like "Bullwinkle", Deer Haven's unbelievably monstrous, non-typical whitetail, produce many bucks at Deer Haven Acres that score well over the Boone and Crockett minimum of 185. If you want a true trophy whitetail--one that you'll be proud to hang on your wall--you'll get one at Deer Haven Acres. It's that simple!
The lodging at Deer Haven Acres is top-notch! Hunters and their guests reside in our immaculately decorated 7500 sq. foot cabin. Here you can relax in front of our widescreen plasma television, or shoot a few games of pool with your buddies, to name a few of the activities that are available. You'll retire at the end of the day to a private room.

Recreation
In addition to trophy whitetail hunting, a number of recreational activities are available to guests at Deer Haven Acres. So if deer hunting doesn't appeal to you, or you're coming here to hunt and you'd like to bring guests, there are plenty of things to do!
Bird watching and wildlife viewing is at the top of the list of recreational activities at Deer Haven Acres. Our 280-acre wildlife preserve is home to many species of birds and game animals, including whitetail deer, turkey and other birds, and wildlife native to central Wisconsin. This wildlife doesn't get much human pressure, so you'll find that it's easy to observe these animals in their natural habitat.
A few hiking and biking trails wind through our preserve, providing guests with easy access to the beautiful Central Wisconsin scenery. But you can feel free to veer off the trail for a closer look at anything that catches your attention. Come out and see some of the most prestine views of nature in the world.
Bring your four-wheeler or snowmobiles if you're in the mood for a little excitement. There are a few places designated for ATV's & some of the best snowmobile trails where you can ride them as wildly, or as calmly as you please.
If fishing sounds like fun, there's no shortage of bass, bluegill, crappie, and even catfish in our 2-acre fishing pond. And we've got plenty of fishing poles if you forget yours, or don't have one.
If you'd like to do a little shooting, we're more than happy to pull a few clay pigeons for you on our trap range. Or we'll turn a few pheasants or quail loose, if you'd like to go after the real thing.
